Well, after many years of homeschooling, and due some changes in DeAnna's daily schedule (she is helping to care for a friends elderly parents), the McBrayer family is making a huge change and has enrolled Kelsea, Hannah, Jarrett, and Illissa in Explore Knowledge Academy - a charter school in Las Vegas. (www.ekacademy.org) Not home, but definitely not the full o Clark County School District... The program is ran much different that a regular "structured" school with projects done in group settings.
The kids are excited about this new change and we will see what the next nine weeks bring (we have committed to completing one nine week term to see how the program fits with our family and their goals.) School starts on Tuesday, August 26, 2008.
To be continued...
(this is a re-post, as DeAnna accidentally deleted the original one)
