There Was a Terrible Accident

My whole family and friends went to Indiana. We enjoyed having a good time there. But then it started to rain. We saw some lightning . We asked if it would be fine to stay outside, and my mom said it was fine. So we stayed out and the lightning got closer and closer.

We went inside except for Gabby. She was outside under an umbrella. Then the lightning struck and she ran but she wasn't quick enough. I ran outside and grabbed her and she made it inside. The next day we played outside, it started to rain, but no lightning. We played games. There was no danger.

The next day there was a storm. We had been playing outside not noticing the storm until Katelyn spotted it. We ran inside but Gabby wasn't paying attention. She said, "Why are you guys going inside?" She, not noticing the storm at first, notices it and runs. This time, she doesn't make it. She gets struck by lightning. We all run out. We thought she died.

We saw her bleeding, so we took her to the hospital.

A couple of months later she came back home and she wanted to play in the rain again, and we all yelled "no!" From now on we always check the weather before we play outside.
